I saw an owl in a hole in a tree about 6 feet above the ground, so I guess of 6 meters or more in a tree. The prevailing winds here in Virginia, and probably the United States from west to south in the summer to winter in the northern front facade of the house between the east and south, where the flight can be almost in the wind to facilitate the landing. I do send you a picture of what I do when my message.
